Kite Making Competition 2009
4th Annual Kite Making
Competition
In 2009, NJSKC will include a Kitemakers' Competition that is intended to showcase
the best of handmade kites.
Sunday from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, individuals who have made their own kites
are encouraged to bring them out and fly them.
Basic Rules

Only kites made and flown by the kite-maker will be eligible for competition.

Cooperative kites are allowed but any individual claiming to be part of a cooperative
team must have had substantial hands-on inputs to the construction of the kite

Kites must fly for a minimum of 60 minutes at a minimum altitude of 100 feet
[rules will be adjusted for miniature kites, if any are entered].

Only kites that fly will be eligible for awards.

Friends may assist in the launching and repair of kites, but the kite must be flown by the kite maker.

Any questions concerning interpretation of the above rules and regulations, the judging process,
or appeals regarding scores will be submitted to the Chief Judge who will rule as he or she
considers best.

Judging will be done by a panel of expert judges.

The following awards will be presented:
- Judging panel choice:

Grand Prize to include one hundred Dollars in prize money sponsored by
CCG Facilities Integration Incorporated to be awarded.
